On August 13, 2008, while in Malta, our brother, Friar Tomás Gálvez Campos passed away at the age of 59. He was a member of the Province of Spain, born February 20, 1949, professed simply vows on October 18, 1970, and Solemn Vows on September 29, 1974. He was ordained a priest on May 26, 1979.

An autopsy is being performed to better establish the cause of death, but the initial indication is that of a heart attack.

He was a calm and zealous collaborator in the secretariat of the General Curia, with his principle responsibility being that of maintaining all of the demographic changes in the Order data base, as well as being the primary Spanish language translator.

The Friars of the General Curia lift our prayers to the Lord for him, and offer our affectionate remembrance to his Province and his family.
