Nisiporeşti - Romania: Priesthood Ordinations

Saturday, March 29. 2008 in Nisiporeşti, Romania, 13 Friars Minor Conventual of the Province of Saint Joseph in Romania, were ordained through the imposition of hands and the prayer of Bishop Petru Gherghel, Bishop of Iaşi. There were 3 Capuchin Friars also ordained from the Romanian Custody of Blessed Jeremiah.

Concelebrants at the Ordination Mass included: Bishop Aurel Percă, Auxiliary Bishop of Iaşi; Bishop Cornel Damian, Auxiliary Bishop of Bucarest; Friar Ion Ciuraru, Minister Provincial; Friar Ubaldo Oliviero, Capuchin Custos of Romania, and around 150 priests. An impressive number of the faithful also participated in the celebration.

The new Conventual Priests are:

  6. Friar Ciprian Iacob (Nisiporeşti - NT);
  7. Friar Daniel-Paul Iacob (Mirceşti - IS);
  8. Friar Claudiu Mărtişcă (Pildeşti - NT);
  9. Friar Virgil Petrişor (Săbăoani - NT);
  10. Friar Iulian Pişta (Valea Mică - BC);
  11. Friar Daniel-Cătălin Romila (Huşi - VS);
  12. Friar Silvestru Tifan (Berzunţi - BC);
  13. 13. Friar Cristian-Eugen Valache (Bacău).
