On February 25, 2008, the Friary of Choulex, office of the General Delegate, Friar Vincent Cosatti, hosted a meeting of the Swiss Delegation. It as a formative and fraternal meeting. A guest attending the conference was Friar Francisco Bustillo from the Custody of France, who opened the meeting speaking of the experiences of the Friars in France, presenting their goals and explaining their work and lifestyle. A dialogue with questions and clarifications followed.

Also present was the Assistant General for the area, Friar Miljenko Hontić who brought the General’s greetings as well. Citing the words of Francis: “Brothers, let us begin to serve the Lord Jesus, because, up until now, we have accomplished little or nothing” the Friars were encouraged to always have an open and fresh spirit in order to respond adequately to their vocations and to the command of the Lord to make him present and recognized through the witness of their lives.

Following lunch, the participants visited the offices of Franciscans International in Geneva. That very day the new Director, Sister Denise Boyle, FMDM of Ireland, was assuming her responsibilities. We listened to the Friars speak about the offices and their activities. The Friars then returned to Choulex where they ended the meeting with the celebration of Eucharist.
