From November 15-19, 2010, an Extraordinary Custodial Chapter was held for the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Bolivia. With the permission of the Order, all Solemnly Professed members took part in the Chapter, which was held at their Post-novitiate house, the Friary of Blessed John Duns Scotus in Chacocollo, Cochabamba.

The Chapter was presided over by the Minister Provincial, Friar Jarosław Zachariasz. Also present were Friar Jorge Fernández, Assistant General for FALC, representing the Minister General, Friar Marco Tasca; Friar Carlos Trovarelli, Minister Provincial of the Province Rioplatense and President of FALC. Also invited to the Chapter were the Provincial Delegates of Peru, Paraguay, and Chile.
It has been a long standing practice that the Friars of Argentina, Paraguay, and Peru to participate in the Ordinary and Extraordinary Chapters. This time the Provincial Delegate of Chile was also invited because it is the second year that these five Jurisdictions have shared a common Novitiate. However, the Delegate from Chile was not able to participate because this Chapter coincided with the Canonical Visit by their Provincial from the Province of Padua.
The primary goal of the Extraordinary Chapter was the preparation and approval of the Formation Plan of the Custody. This plan was prepared by a Commission created after the Ordinary Custodial Chapter of 2008. Thus they have completed the general objectives of their four-year plan (2008-2012), that is: the elaboration of a Formation Plan for the Custody and the approval of the Extraordinary Custodial Chapter.
The Chapter was carried out in a great fraternal spirit among all of the Friars, and their decisions accented, once again, the priority of the Order and the Custody, that of continuing formation and formation for mission.
