Fr. Jerzy Norel was born in 1963 at Doluje, in Szczecin. In 1983 he entered the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. He completed his Philosophical-Theological studies (1984-1990) at the Major Seminary of the Conventual Franciscans at Lodz-Lagiewniki. He completed his Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology at the Catholic University of Lublin, on the theme “The Apostolate of Peace according to the first Franciscan Writings.” He made his Solemn Profession at Lodz-Lagiewniki on December 8, 1988. In 1990 he was ordained to the priesthood at Lodz-Lagiewniki in the hands of Bishop Augustine Januszewicz OFMConv. From 1990-1991 he was parochial vicar at the parish of St. Francis of Assisi in Ostroda. From 1991 to 1996 he continued his post-graduate studies at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome at the Faculty of Gregorian Chant. His thesis looked at the Franciscan sources in choral music – the breviary from the 13th century. After he completed these studies in Rome he was professor at the Major Seminary of the Conventual Franciscans at Lodz-Lagiewniki (1996-2000). In 2005 he completed his doctorate at the cathedra of Ecclesiastical Musicology of the “Cardinal Stefano Wyszynski” University in Warsaw. From 2000-2004 he was Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Maximilian Kolbe at Gdansk (Poland), and from 2002-2004 was also the President of the Franciscan Major Superiors’ Conference in Poland. From 2004 he worked at the Order’s General Curia: from May 2 2005 he took on the role of Assistant General to the Eastern European Conference (CEO).

Born: Calcinato (Brescia) Italy, November 8, 1953 He began his formation at the Province of Padua and then at the Seraphicum for his Theology. He received a Licentiate in Missiology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1982. He was a missionary in Ghana (1983-2004). He worked in parish (1984-1986) and then pastor (1986-1991) at the parish of Christ the King in Takoradi. He was Guardian at the community of Sunyani (1991-1994) and Provincial Delegate (1991-1994), the first Provincial Custos of the newly made Custody of Ghana (1995-2002) and Guardian of the Formation House at Accra (1995-2002). He was AFCOF President (1999-2002) and Vice-Rector and in charge of the Franciscan Publications-Ghana (2002-2004). He was a member of the General Secretariat for Missionary Animation at the General Curia (2004-2006) and responsible for the formation of missionaries at the Brussels’ course (2005-2006).

Born on 12/05/1951 at Buffalo, New York. Has been involved with Justice, Peace and Safeguarding of Creation at various levels for over 20 years. Was Director of Postulants in his province for 6 years, 4 of which in collaboration with the St. Anthony Province. He was also Regent for Studies. He was Provincial Secretary for two terms and definitor. At the General Chapter of 2001 he was elected Assistant General of the CAA.

| friar TADEUSZ ŚWIĄTKOWSKI of the Provincial Custody of Kenya Assistant General AFCOF
Born 13/12/1957 at Gdansk (Poland) After having completed his first years of Philosophy at the Major Seminary in Krakow, he went to the Seraphicum to continue his Philosophy-Theology until 1982. In 1984 he completed his Licentiate in Missiology at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He was then nominated assistant pastor of the parish at Niepokalanów (Poland) where he stayed for two years. In 1986, after completing an English language course at Manchester, he left for the mission in Kenya, Africa, in November of that year. He worked there for 12 years as: director of postulants, editor of the MI magazine, Provincial Delegate for Kenya, Rector of clerics, Pastor and then again Provincial Delegate for Kenya. On September 17, 1998 he was named Secretary General for Missionary Animation of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.

Born on 16.04.1965 at Molve, Croatia. Licentiate in Franciscan Spirituality at Seraphicum (1993). After his ordination, he stayed in Rome for a year. He returned to Croatia and worked for 5 years as parochial vicar at Sisak, at the friary of St. Anthony (Croatia). He was Rector of clerics for 8 years at Zagreb, and for 8 years a definitor in his province. He has worked in vocational promotion, with the youth at the "Giovani verso Assisi". He has been guardian of St. Anthony friary at Novi Marof for the last year and pastor of 2 parishes. Under his guidance, the choir of the friars of the province was formed, nown as "NONET FRANEVACA KONV.", who have recorded two CDs of spiritual music in honor of Our Lady and of St. Anthony (Gregorian chant, national and traditional hymns): the first was on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception and it was nominated for a national prize in spiritual music.

Born on 06/07/1964 in Warsaw. He completed his Theological Studies at Lodz-Lagiewniki and at the Seraphicum. He completed his Doctorate in Moral Theology at the St. Alphonsus Academy in Rome. Having gone back to his province, from 1996 he is the Rector of clerics and Professor of Moral Theology at the Major Seminary at Lodz-Lagniewniki. Since 2000 he is a provincial assistant, rector at the seminary and guardian of the friary.

Born at Mambrilla de Castrejón (Burgos) on 16/12/1944. Licentiate in Theology (Barcelona), in Franciscan Spirituality (Seraphicum, Rome), in History and Geography (UNED). From 1969 to 1875 he was Secretary and Professor at the “Bl. Francisco Gálvez” College at Utiel. From 1975 to 1978 he was Provincial Secretary, and at the same time, was Secretary and Professor at the “San Buenaventura” College at Madrid. From 1977 to 1981 he was Guardian and Director of the "San Francisco de Asís" College at Valladolid. In 1981 he was elected Guardian and director of the postulants at Saragossa, which he undertook until 1984 when he was asked to be Rector of the clerics at Barcelona. In 1987 he was elected Minister Provincial and reconfirmed until 1996. That year he was made Assistant General of the SFO, which he held until 2004, when he was again elected at Minister Provincial of Spain. |
